In a two part series written for Tripwire the State of Security, I discussed motivations for organisations migrating to public cloud services, along with resources on empowering the migration team and maintaining long term.
Both of these parts are built in a way to begin, and/or help shape the conversation - they are not complete guides and should not be taken that way. When migrating to a public, hybrid, or even private cloud resource, the technical and business operations need to discuss each decision in detail. Why are you migrating, what are you migrating, and any resources that are connected to said migration. It isn’t a small decision, and should be continuously reviewed for effective risk management and understanding.
